Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The Vox BC108 fits within the brand's "mini stack" spirit: a lightweight, quick-to-set-up solution designed to accompany compact heads like the MV50. The goal is clear: to deliver the feel of a true guitar cabinet with reduced size, without sacrificing musicality or bass presence at reasonable volume levels.
Who This Amp Is For
The BC108 is aimed at guitarists who want a simple, effective, and easy-to-transport cabinet: discerning beginners, apartment musicians, home studio users, or regular rehearsal players. It is particularly suited for contexts where compactness is key (small rehearsal studios, recording sessions, jams, coffee gigs), and styles ranging from clean to crunch, blues, pop, funk, indie, and classic rock. For heavily saturated tones and high stage volumes, adding a second cabinet (or mic reinforcement) will increase fullness.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Vox BC108 compatible with a Vox MV50 head?
This cabinet is designed to be paired with compact heads like the Vox MV50. Its impedance is 8 ohms and its power handling reaches 25 W RMS.
Can two BC108 cabinets be connected together?
The two 6.35 mm jack inputs allow daisy-chaining a second cabinet in parallel. The resulting load is then 4 ohms, with increased volume and fullness.
What sound does the Vox BC108 1x8 inch cabinet produce?
The original Vox 8-inch speaker favors clear mids and a tight attack. The clean tone retains clarity at low volume, while the crunch benefits from natural compression related to the format.
Is the BC108 suitable for playing in an apartment or home studio?
With dimensions of 260 x 280 x 200 mm and a weight of 3.9 kg, this format is easy to transport. It is suitable for compact settings, notably apartments, home studios, and small rehearsals.
Does the Vox BC108 have built-in effects or an attenuator?
No effects, effects loop, or attenuator is integrated: the sound adjustment depends on the amp head and any pedals used.
