A Vox Classic Revisited to Enter Legend
The wah-wah is one of those effects that marked the history of the electric guitar, and Vox is one of the names most intimately linked to this sonic revolution. The V845 continues this lineage: it recaptures the identity and expressive signature of the first Vox wahs from the 1960s, while offering a more accessible approach within the range. The result: a wah with vintage character, ready to become a staple on your pedalboard.
For Whom? From Funk to Psychedelic Rock, from Riff to Solo
The Vox V845 is aimed both at guitarists discovering the wah and seasoned musicians seeking a simple, effective, and musical effect. It excels in funk (tight rhythms and well-articulated "quack"), blues-rock (singing solos), rock, and psychedelic to recapture the iconic textures popularized by 60s/70s guitarists, Jimi Hendrix foremost among them. In the studio, it fits easily into a mix; live, its response underfoot facilitates phrase effects and controlled swells.
Direct Control, Easy Integration on the Pedalboard
Here, no menus or unnecessary settings: the expression pedal is the heart of control. You sculpt the filter's opening in real time, from muffled and nasal tones to brighter harmonics, depending on your foot position and attack. For integration, the V845 features simple 6.35mm Jack connectivity (input/output) and can operate on battery or via a 9V power adapter (not included), a real plus for regular pedalboard use. Note: the pedal is not true bypass, meaning it uses a buffered bypass.
The Sound
The Vox V845 offers a highly expressive wah, with a curve that naturally emphasizes the midrange, where the guitar "speaks" most. The output is vocal, punchy, and responsive to dynamic variations: playing softer makes the wah sound rounder; attacking harder makes it more biting and gripping. It's an excellent foundation for tight funky rhythms, retro-character rock leads, and precise sweep effects that truly follow your playing intention.

Nothing to say, I've never tried another one so it's not possible to judge, but the manufacturing quality is impeccable, just a bit hard to switch on
