This 4-string electro-acoustic bass is especially aimed at beginner to intermediate bassists seeking a versatile instrument, but it also works very well as a second bass for experienced musicians (rehearsals, unplugged, acoustic sets). It excels in pop, folk, variety, acoustic rock, worship, and live contexts where a present low end is desired without overpowering the mix.
The Sound
The AA solid spruce top delivers precise attack and great definition, ideal for highlighting fingerstyle and pick playing. The laminate bubinga back and sides enhance low-end sustain and stability, with a balanced and consistent response. Plugged in, the Fishman Transducer System Prefix Plus T electronics allow fine-tuning of the tone: volume control, EQ (bass, mid, treble), feedback control (notch, phase), and presence adjustments (brilliance), to maintain a natural and usable sound on amp or PA.
