The Warwick RockBass range has been revamped in 2024 with a clear goal: to offer instruments that carry the DNA of Warwick's flagship models while remaining more accessible. It retains the attributes that have built the reputation of the German brand: player-oriented ergonomics, a distinctive sound identity, and a "musician's" approach where every detail serves performance, both acoustically and when plugged in.

This 4-string electro-acoustic bass is aimed at beginner to intermediate bassists seeking true versatility (unplugged playing, amplified rehearsals, stage), as well as more advanced musicians wanting a reliable acoustic bass with fine sound control. It is particularly suited for pop, rock, folk, variety, jazz contexts and playing styles including fingerstyle, pick, or percussive accompaniment.
Sound Characteristics
The combination of a solid spruce top and a laminated spruce body aims for a balance between response, projection, and stability: the solid top provides dynamics and definition, while the laminate ensures long-term durability. When plugged in, the Shadow electronics offer two complementary characters: the piezo emphasizes attack, precision, and the "wood" tone, while the nanomagnetic adds warmth and a feel closer to an electric bass. With Volume / Balance / Tone controls for each source, you can switch from a detailed acoustic sound to a denser tone perfectly suited for the mix.
