The 5th string (low B) provides the ideal extension for current styles: modern rock, metal, funk, fusion, gospel, pop, and urban music, while remaining comfortable on rounder, more traditional lines.
The Sound
The MEC passive pickups in Music Man style deliver a powerful tonal foundation, with presence in the low mids, a clear attack, and solid lows-perfect for "holding the mix." The RockBass active electronics (Volume, Balance, Treble, Bass) then allow quick adjustment of brightness and low-end breadth, useful for switching from a sharp, percussive sound to a rounder foundation. The ash body promotes definition and dynamics, while the 3-piece bolt-on neck (maple/ekanga) enhances attack and precision. The wenge fingerboard contributes a more biting and articulate tone, with excellent clarity on the B string.
