What eMotion LV1 Live Mixer - 32 Stereo Channels Is For
eMotion LV1 is a software mixer dedicated to live sound (concerts, tours, fixed venues, broadcasting, and streaming). It replaces a hardware console by combining a tactile mixing surface, flexible routing, and direct integration of Waves processing to achieve studio-quality sound on stage. It is designed for both FOH engineers and monitor setups, and easily integrates into modern networked, mobile, and pre-production-oriented setups.
Main Features
Waves Audio Engine: Precision, Dynamics, and Headroom
At the core of the LV1, the Waves mixing engine in 32-bit floating point double precision aims for clear reproduction and a comfortable dynamic range, essential for handling the level variations of live sound. The system supports sample rates from 44.1 to 96 kHz, adapting to production, broadcast, and latency requirements.
Waves Plugins and Per-Channel Processing: Creativity Without Compromise
The LV1 is designed for live mixing with the same approach as in the studio: surgical EQ, dynamics, de-essing, multiband, voice and bass management, etc. Thanks to the SoundGrid environment, you can load up to 8 compatible plugins directly on each channel, and access a catalog of over 200 Waves plugins (depending on licenses) to build a coherent processing chain for each source: vocals, guitars, drums, keyboards, stems, playback tracks, or broadcast buses.
Live Tools Focused on Problem Solving
On stage, quick reaction is crucial. LV1 facilitates managing typical live issues: feedback control, spill reduction, dynamic EQ, multi-mic automixing, de-essing, and gain control tools to stabilize vocals and bass. Integration with the Dugan Speech automixer plugin also optimizes spoken word and conference setups, delivering a clearer and more stable mix.
eMo Channel Strips: Efficiency, Clarity, Zero Latency
The Waves eMo plugins (EQ, filters, dynamics) are designed as channel strips tailored for live use: clear interface, fast actions, transparent sound, and zero latency. The goal is to get straight to the point to shape a source, clean a microphone, or control dynamics without slowing down the mix.
Touch Control, Control Surfaces, and Plugins at Your Fingertips
LV1 is optimized for multi-touch and can also be controlled via compatible controllers, including Waves FIT. You can use up to two Waves FIT controllers for extended physical control: motorized faders, multifunction encoders, layer switching, assignable buttons, tap tempo, auto-mapped plugin parameters, etc. The result is a more intuitive mix, close to a traditional console, while retaining software flexibility.
Offline Preparation and Scalable Deployment
The eMotion LV1 Session Editor (included) allows show preparation without audio: organizing channels, buses, layers, processing, routing, and parameters from any computer. On site, the configuration can evolve: adding I/O, compatible servers and interfaces, or networking multiple LV1 systems to build a more ambitious setup.
Multi-System Networking and Resource Sharing
It is possible to connect multiple eMotion LV1 mixers on the same network switch and share I/O devices (stageboxes, drivers, DAWs) as well as various sources. Sharing a stagebox between multiple LV1s (FOH and monitors) avoids split constraints while allowing multiple destinations and independent gain controls per engineer.
Included Apps: Remote, FOH, and Personal Monitor Mixing
The mixer includes several applications to optimize on-site workflows. MixMirror allows plugin and mix control from an iPad mirroring the LV1 screen. MyFOH offers independent iPad control of levels, pans, and sends from anywhere in the venue. MyMon enables up to 10 musicians to manage their own monitor mixes from iOS or Android, reducing FOH workload and enhancing stage autonomy.

Questions frequently asked
How many channels does the eMotion LV1 Live Mixer 32 ST CH offer?
The setup includes 32 stereo input channels, usable with either stereo or mono sources. It also features 24 stereo/mono aux sends, with 16 designated for monitors and 8 for effects.
Which plugins can be used on each channel?
Up to 8 SoundGrid-compatible plugins can be loaded on each channel. The Waves eMo channel strips notably include zero-latency EQ, filters, and dynamics.
Does the LV1 run on Mac Apple Silicon?
Compatibility covers Intel and Apple Silicon processors running macOS Big Sur 11 through Sonoma 14. 8 GB of RAM is required, while Intel MacBook Air models are not supported.
Can the mix be controlled with a Waves FIT surface?
Up to two Waves FIT controllers can be used simultaneously. Motorized faders, encoders, and auto-mapped plugin parameters provide physical control over the software.
How can an LV1 show be prepared without an audio system connected?
The included eMotion LV1 Session Editor allows preparation of channels, routing, processing, and layers without audio. MixMirror provides mirrored control from an iPad, while MyMon enables up to 10 musicians to manage their monitor mixes from iOS or Android devices.
