What eMotion LV1 Live Mixer Is For
eMotion LV1 is a computer-based live mixing solution designed to handle demanding shows with the flexibility of a software environment. It is intended for concert sound reinforcement (FOH and monitors), as well as for places of worship, corporate events, TV studios, and streaming setups. The goal is clear: to achieve the precision and creativity of a studio mix in live conditions, while maintaining fast ergonomics, customizable layers, and effective correction tools to manage the unpredictability of live performances.
Main Features
Audio Quality and Dynamics for Live
The Waves mixing engine in 32-bit floating point double precision delivers great transparency and a dynamic reserve especially appreciated on unpredictable sources (vocals, drums, acoustic instruments) and during level peaks. Supported sampling rates from 44.1 to 96 kHz allow adapting the system to the control room, audio network, and production constraints.
Waves Plugins: Creativity and Problem Solving
LV1 is designed to integrate Waves processing at the heart of the mix. You can host up to 8 SoundGrid plugins per channel to sculpt an "album" sound live, but also to quickly solve difficult situations: feedback control, spill management, dynamic EQ, de-essing, multi-mic automix, and level stabilization tools for vocals and bass. This approach helps keep the mix under control, even when the stage or venue imposes compromises.
eMo Channel Strips: Efficiency and Clarity on Stage
The Waves eMo plugins (EQ, filters, dynamics) are optimized for live use: clear interface, zero latency, and fast adjustments. Ideal for building a coherent console strip on each input, with immediate handling in stressful situations.
Customizable, Touch-Enabled, Performance-Oriented Workflow
The mixer offers a smooth multi-touch experience and the ability to work with physical controllers, including up to two Waves FIT units to regain console-like feel: 32+2 motorized faders, multifunction encoders, layer switching, assignable buttons, tap tempo, and auto-mapped plugin parameters. Custom layers speed up navigation during concerts, and DCA spill helps quickly display channels linked to a DCA for immediate adjustments.
Offline Preparation and Scalable Systems
LV1 integrates into a modular environment: preparation beforehand, then deployment on-site with more inputs/outputs and processing power. The Session Editor allows offline session preparation (routing, layers, organization) from a computer, useful for progressing without the full audio infrastructure. For large setups, multiple LV1 mixers can be connected on the same network and share resources (sources, stageboxes, monitors, tracks) without analog splitting, each engineer retaining their own gain control.
Remote Control and Personal Monitor Mixes
For a more mobile control room, LV1 is accompanied by control apps: MixMirror to duplicate the screen and control settings from a tablet, MyFOH to adjust levels, panoramas, and sends remotely, and MyMon to give musicians simple access to their monitor mixes (up to 10 performers). A real advantage to streamline soundchecks and reduce trips between stage and front of house.
