Main Features

Total Vocal Transformation with Expressive Control

OVox analyzes your voice and extracts essential information (pitch, amplitude, formants), then lets you transform each element separately. You can "disassemble" a timbre to rebuild it: a deeper but brighter voice, shifted formants for a character effect, or conversely an ultra-clean and musical result. The Waves Organic ReSynthesis (ORS) technology aims for smooth morphing while preserving the intention and nuances of the performance.

Chords, Harmonies, and Scales via the Note Mapper

Thanks to the Note Mapper, your voice can automatically trigger chords, harmonies, or scales. Define the root note, harmonic color, note range, or exclude unwanted notes to maintain precise musical intent. Useful for securing a topline, locking a key, or quickly generating inspiring progressions from a single take.

MIDI Out: Play Virtual Instruments with Your Voice

The MIDI Out feature converts your vocal performance to MIDI in real time and sends it to the instrument of your choice (Waves or others). Sing a melody, hum a bassline, sketch a pattern: OVox becomes a direct bridge between your voice and your collection of synths, samplers, or virtual pianos. The Note Mapper can also be used to quantize MIDI to a scale or easily generate chord sequences.

Fast Workflow: Compact View, Extended View, Intuitive Modulation

The compact view puts key controls at your fingertips for quick work. Switching to the extended view gives you deeper editing: synthesis, harmonics, formants, filters, modulations, and effects. Modulation is done simply by drag-and-drop: assign an LFO, envelope, or dedicated envelopes (Amplitude, Pitch, Formant) to almost any parameter to animate a sound without breaking your flow.

Built-in Effects and Sound Finishing

OVox includes a quality effects section to finalize your sound without multiplying inserts: Autopan, Chorus, Compression, Delay, Distortion, and Reverb. You also have a 4-band modulable EQ to place the voice in the mix, accentuate attack, carve a resonance, or push a more aggressive effect depending on the style.
