Waves Smack Attack is a transient shaping plugin designed to sculpt the impact of percussive sounds. It can make a snare drum " snap ", restore presence to an overly soft drum kit, add more attack to a bass without touching the sustain, or conversely soften an overly aggressive tambourine so it sits better in the mix. It is also highly useful on acoustic guitar for reducing pick noise while preserving brightness, or on percussive rap vocals to enhance articulation and energy.
