What Waves SuperRack Performer is for
Waves SuperRack Performer is a live-dedicated plugin host software: it allows you to insert Waves plugins and third-party VST3 plugins into your live audio chain, acting as a natural extension of your console, whether digital or analog. The goal is simple: to bring your studio sound (vocal processing, drums, master bus, creative effects) to the stage, while maintaining a setup that is accessible and adaptable to all budgets. Whether you are a sound engineer, a self-sufficient musician, or a touring technician, SuperRack Performer helps achieve a more consistent mix from one gig to another, even in venues with challenging acoustics.
Main features
A live environment for your processing chains
SuperRack Performer centralizes your processing to build complete chains per source: vocal tuning and effects, dynamics and punch on drums, feedback elimination, analog coloration on instruments, or even a "mix bus" chain to give a more "record-like" finish. Integration is simple via an audio interface and a connection to the console, without requiring additional dedicated hardware.
VST3 compatibility: more freedom, fewer compromises
Support for any VST3 plugin (in addition to Waves plugins) allows you to use your usual tools, even if your sonic signature depends on different developers. You can thus keep your mixing habits, presets, and processing logic, while benefiting from a host designed specifically for the stage.
Snapshots per song and remote recalls
Live shows constantly evolve: the same concert may require different settings for each song. SuperRack Performer allows you to create, save, and recall snapshots to instantly adapt your parameters (levels, processing, effect intensities) throughout the setlist. Recall can also be done remotely via the Waves mRecall app, convenient for securing and standardizing a show.
Concert-oriented control and ergonomics
The software is optimized for quick use: efficient loading, clear routing, simultaneous control of multiple plugins, shortcuts, and MIDI compatibility to control parameters on the fly (snapshot changes, effect commands, targeted adjustments). For remote control in the venue, the MixMirror app on iPad allows controlling plugins from any listening position, as a "mirror" of the mix window.
Tools to manage venue constraints
SuperRack Performer is designed for real-world conditions: irregular acoustics, imperfect sound systems, complicated stage setups. The use of specialized live plugins (for example for feedback management, cleaning, dynamic EQ, or the eMo series processing) allows faster and more precise corrections, so you can stay focused on the musical aspect and the energy of the concert.
