Summary of This Method
Designed for guitarists who want to recapture the energy and groove characteristic of Santana, this method offers you 6 essential tracks to play along with recorded accompaniments. The book provides, for each song, the sheet music in standard notation and the corresponding tablature, to suit different profiles: readers, "tab" guitarists, or musicians wishing to connect both. Complete lyrics are also included, a real plus for understanding the song structure and working on interpretation (or singing while playing).
The CD is designed as a progressive training tool. For each track, you have two backing tracks: first a demonstration version with guitar, which shows you the phrasing and general intention, then a version without guitar to place you at the heart of the band and play your part. Both versions are vocal-free, and instrumental cues help you enter at the right moment and follow the form, whether you play guitar only or also want to sing.
On the program: Black Magic Woman, Hope You're Feeling Better, No One To Depend On, Oye Como Va, Samba Pa Ti, She's Not There. An effective resource to work on sense of tempo, smooth transitions, and develop a more musical approach to playing in real situations, whether in rehearsal or on stage.
