XLN Audio XO Expansion Reggaeton

What XO Expnsion: Reggaeton Is For

XO Expnsion: Reggaeton is an expansion dedicated to creating modern and effective Reggaeton rhythms, from the most minimalist to the most layered, for producing club tracks, urban pop choruses, or "latino heat" instrumentals. It is aimed at producers who want to capture the DNA of dembow (kick and snare that drive the groove) and the musicality of tresillo patterns, while maintaining a fast workflow to sketch an idea, build a drop, or finalize a radio-ready beat.

Main Features

Production-oriented presets, 100% modifiable

The 75 presets provided serve as a solid foundation to start quickly. In XO, each pattern remains fully editable: you can move accents, adjust velocity, rework hi-hat syncopation, and develop your loop into verse, pre-chorus, and chorus sections without starting from scratch. The result: a coherent groove, but never fixed.

Sound replacement and instant variations

XO makes it easy to find the right impact in the right place. With one click, you can replace a sound with another of similar character (same family, same intention) to refine the kick, harden a snare, or brighten a hat without breaking the pattern's balance. You can also switch to your favorite sounds from your collection or generate variations targeting a specific range (for example, shorter kicks, drier snares, or brighter hats), useful for finding the right color in a mix context.

Sample library tailored for dembow

With 150+ samples dedicated to the genre, the expansion emphasizes rhythmic clarity: clean transients, controlled low-end, and precise attacks to hold up in a dense arrangement (808 basses, synths, lead vocals, and choirs). Ideal for creating rhythms that "stick" to the vocals while maintaining consistent punch on club systems and mobile listening.
