The Yamaha Custom Series: The High Standards of a Major Brand
The Yamaha Custom mouthpieces are the result of extensive work carried out alongside top-level musicians. From the initial shaping to the finishing, Yamaha relies on rigorous processes and the expertise of its craftsmen to offer a reliable, homogeneous, and consistent mouthpiece from one piece to another.
For Which Musicians and Styles?
This mouthpiece is suitable for both beginners and professionals seeking a stable and musical tool. Its balance and clarity are particularly well-suited to repertoires where intonation and homogeneity are essential (classical, wind orchestra, pop, studio), while remaining relevant for modern playing styles looking for a focused sound.
Sound and Design
With its 1.70 mm tip opening (the gap at the tip, which influences resistance and flexibility) and a 24 mm chamber (the internal area shaping the timbre), this mouthpiece facilitates achieving a balanced, clear, and focused sound across all octaves. The ebonite contributes to a comfortable response, a warm grain, and good coherence between registers.
