A "Custom" Mouthpiece Born from Yamaha Expertise
Developed in collaboration with top musicians, Yamaha Custom mouthpieces for saxophone are based on years of observation and continuous improvement. The brand emphasizes manufacturing consistency so that each mouthpiece offers the same stability, clear intonation, and playing comfort from one piece to another.
For Which Musician and Styles?
This Yamaha Custom mouthpiece is aimed at intermediate to advanced saxophonists seeking a warm sound, a clear response, and solid projection. Its "rich, bold" character and powerful volume make it an excellent choice for jazz, while remaining relevant for contemporary music whenever presence and crisp attacks are needed.
Sound and Design
Thanks to the ebonite, the emission is naturally comfortable, with a round and dense timbre and a feeling of stability in the air column. The 1.80 mm opening promotes expressive playing and precise attacks, while the chamber (length 22 mm ) contributes to harmonic richness and power without sacrificing intonation clarity.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To get the best out of this mouthpiece, favor a ligature suited to your saxophone and reeds compatible with your instrument and opening, adjusting the strength according to your playing comfort and the style sought.
