An iconic L series, modernized for its 40th anniversary

The L series celebrates 40 years of history with an evolution that retains the "premium" DNA of the range: meticulous construction, noble woods, and traditional aesthetics. The 16 series stands out as the first model in this new L series to be fully solid, while incorporating the A.R.E. treatment now deployed on L models to quickly regain the feel of a "broken-in" instrument.

With its Jumbo format, the LJ16 A.R.E. targets intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking breadth, a strong volume reserve, and an ideal foundation for accompaniment. It excels in pop, folk, acoustic rock, energetic strumming, yet remains very musical in fingerpicking thanks to its balanced response. Its discreet pickup system also makes it a relevant ally for stage and home studio use.

Sound

The solid Engelmann spruce top brings finesse in attack, clear definition, and dynamics sensitive to playing nuances. The solid rosewood (back and sides) enhances depth in the bass, brightness in the treble, and ample sustain, perfect for filling the sound space of a jumbo. The new bracing of the L series contributes to a more balanced and powerful output, while the A.R.E. accentuates the sense of maturity: fuller notes, more singing mids, and a natural projection that remains controlled.
