Launched in 1990 and designed by Yamaha Guitar Development Hollywood, the Pacifica series was created to meet the demands of Californian stage musicians: a modern, reliable guitar capable of adapting to many styles. The PACIFICA611VFM follows this philosophy by incorporating the "performance" DNA of the 611HFM model (Seymour Duncan pickups, Grover locking tuners) while adding a Wilkinson vibrato to further expand the playing possibilities.

Sound Characteristics

The alder body provides a very musical balance, with present mids and a consistent response, ideal for sitting well in a mix. The flamed maple top adds precision and brightness, useful for highlighting attack and definition, especially in clean or crunch tones. On the electronics side, the Seymour Duncan SP90 and Seymour Duncan Custom5 duo offers a contrasting palette: an open and expressive character on one side, and a denser power reserve on the other. The Wilkinson Vibrato completes the setup by allowing the player to enrich their playing with vibrato effects without sacrificing the instrument's overall balance.
