Yamaha Trbx304 Factory Blue

A TRBX Designed for Today's Bassists

The TRBX304 embodies Yamaha's philosophy: offering a reliable, versatile, and enjoyable instrument to play, with a sonic identity capable of covering many contexts. This "Factory Blue" version highlights a modern design, while the architecture (mahogany body, multi-piece neck, and dual humbuckers) aims for a balance between punch, comfort, and consistency from one instrument to another.

For Which Bassist and Styles?

The Yamaha TRBX304 Factory Blue is well suited for beginners seeking a serious and easy-to-handle bass, as well as intermediate players looking for a ready-to-use tonal palette. Its 5 presets allow quick switching from a round sound to a sharper attack, making it relevant for rock, pop, funk, metal, as well as gospel and variety contexts where the bass needs to remain clear and stable.

The Sound

With its 2 Yamaha HB pickups (humbucking), the TRBX304 delivers a naturally dense and noise-free sound, providing an ideal foundation for both pick and fingerstyle lines. The mahogany body contributes to a warm and supported low-midrange, while the rosewood fingerboard offers a softer attack and musical grain. The 5-piece maple/mahogany neck promotes stability and consistent response across the entire fretboard. Finally, the 5 presets combined with Volume and Balance controls allow quick adjustment of the tonal color according to the track, while maintaining simple and effective use.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Its 34" / 864 mm scale length corresponds to the "long scale" standard: you can therefore choose long scale bass strings (gauge according to your preference) to maintain the tension and intonation intended by the instrument.
