A modern bass crafted for current sounds: the place of the TRBX304 in the TRBX series
The TRBX series was designed for bassists who want modern instruments capable of adapting to various contexts without complexity. The TRBX304 emphasizes versatility and quick adjustment thanks to its preset equalization, while maintaining solid craftsmanship (mahogany body, multi-piece neck) for a reliable feel every day.
For which bassists and styles?
The Yamaha TRBX304 is aimed at beginner to intermediate bassists who want an expressive bass, easy to adjust, and capable of covering multiple registers. It is particularly comfortable in rock, pop, funk, metal, and contemporary music, especially when you need to quickly change tonal character between songs or sections (rounder verse, sharper chorus).
The sound
Equipped with 2 Yamaha HB humbucker pickups, the TRBX304 delivers a powerful sound, with a solid low end and present mids to cut through the mix. The mahogany body enhances density and warmth, while the 5-piece maple/mahogany neck promotes stability and a well-defined attack. The highlight remains the Pre-set EQ: its 5 presets allow quick sculpting of the spectrum (bass/attack/presence) without spending time searching for "the" setting, while keeping simple control via Volume and Balance.
Recommended compatible accessories
To complete your setup safely, you can opt for a long scale bass string set suited for a 34" / 864 mm scale length, a good quality 6.35 mm jack cable, and a tuner (pedal or clip-on) to stabilize your tuning during rehearsals and on stage.
