In the tradition of reliable Yamaha interfaces, with a more "ready to create" approach

The Yamaha URX-C continues the legacy of the brand's USB audio interfaces, known for their stability and musicality, while modernizing the experience for current uses. The idea is to retain the essentials of a serious audio chain (D-PRE preamps, high-definition conversion, internal DSP processing) but make it more straightforward to operate with accessible controls and a logic designed for speed. Whereas a traditional studio setup often requires multiple software and routings, the URX-C focuses on immediate usability, simpler monitoring organization, and integration adapted to content creation, especially when alternating between recording, listening, and streaming.

A USB-C audio interface for demanding musicians, podcasters, and streamers

Designed to support rapid progress, the URX-C is particularly suited for musicians, singers, podcasters, video creators, and streamers who want to significantly improve sound quality without turning every session into a configuration ordeal. Its inputs allow recording a voice with a condenser microphone (with +48 V), a guitar or bass via the Hi-Z input, as well as line sources like a keyboard, drum machine, or external preamp.

In practice, it excels in everyday scenarios: capturing a clean idea, recording vocals for a track, producing a podcast with stable levels, or preparing a streaming set with comfortable monitoring. The two headphone outputs with separate monitoring provide a real advantage when working with two people or when wanting to separate the creator's listening from the return intended for a guest, musician, or co-host.

DSP, control, and connectivity: a smooth workflow from tracking to streaming

dspMixFx: control monitoring and mixing without complexity

The heart of the URX-C experience is the combination of Yamaha DSP and the dspMixFx software. You organize your listening, adjust levels, and configure your work environment from an interface designed to be clear, even if you don't have sound engineering reflexes. This approach helps you stay focused on performance and content rather than technicalities, while maintaining serious control over monitoring.

Class A D-PRE preamps: clean and usable signal

With its 2 Class A D-PRE microphone preamps, the URX-C aims for detailed and natural sound, useful for spoken voice as well as singing, and sufficiently defined for acoustic instrument recordings. The gain is designed to preserve dynamics and nuance, to obtain a "mixable" signal more easily later on. Combined with conversion up to 32-bit/192 kHz, the interface provides a solid foundation for recording, editing, and producing with appreciable precision, especially on transients and vocal intelligibility.

Ergonomics made for fast creation, with Stream Deck integration

Yamaha emphasizes efficiency here: simple physical controls, dedicated volumes, and a control logic that avoids detours. The Stream Deck integration follows the same principle: it allows centralizing production or streaming actions and chaining steps more easily (preparation, recording, monitoring, launching a scene, recalling a setting). Compared to more "classic" interfaces focused solely on recording, the URX-C embraces a more hybrid studio and content creation role, where speed of execution matters as much as audio quality.
