The woods used are dried under controlled conditions to promote the instrument’s reliability through rehearsals, lessons and first concerts.

This refurbished version retains all the qualities expected of a Yamaha student violin. The original packaging has simply been opened. It is an attractive solution for equipping yourself with a complete 1/2-size violin while benefiting from a 3-year warranty.

With its 1/2 size, this violin is intended for children whose build requires an intermediate size before moving on to a larger instrument. It is particularly well suited to learning at a music school, conservatory, with a private teacher or through regular home practice.

The V3SKA allows players to work on the fundamentals of acoustic violin playing: bow hold, intonation, left-hand placement, string crossings, détaché and legato. Its complete setup makes getting started easier, as the student immediately has all the essential elements needed to begin playing. It is suitable for beginner classical repertoire, traditional melodies and early ensemble pieces.

The sound

The spruce top contributes to the violin’s responsiveness and projection: this lightweight wood efficiently transmits the vibrations produced by the strings. The maple back provides structural stability and contributes to the precision of the instrument’s tonal response. The combination of spruce and maple is a well-established foundation in the making of bowed-string instruments.

Fitted with Prelude strings, this 1/2-size violin offers a response suited to daily practice and learning to shape dynamics. The Yamaha Original bridge ensures the transmission of vibrations to the top, while the four fine tuners integrated into the tailpiece allow for more precise tuning adjustments. The key, pegs and ebony chin rest enhance playing comfort and durability in the areas subject to the most wear.
