A "compact" Yamaha that retains the spirit of the traditional trombone
The Yamaha 350C was designed to address a real challenge for young beginners: the arm length needed to comfortably reach all positions on a modern trombone. Yamaha offers an ingenious approach here: maintaining the landmarks and feel of a standard-sized tenor trombone, while reducing bulk and making some extreme positions unnecessary thanks to an ascending valve. The result: a more accessible instrument without giving up the "true" slide playing.

This trombone is primarily intended for children and young beginners who want to start on a serious instrument with a full sound, but easier to handle than a conventional model. The Yamaha 350C focuses on a design that promotes projection and presence. Its 204 mm bell (standard size) in gold brass delivers a warm and round color, with generous projection without harshness. The 12.7 - 13.34 mm bore offers a good compromise: enough openness for a full sound while remaining comfortable to develop pitch accuracy and endurance. The slide combines an inner slide in nickel silver (smoothness, durability) and an outer slide in yellow brass, with a lacquered finish that protects the instrument and keeps a neat appearance over time.
