This Bb trumpet is part of Yamaha's Custom series, a family of instruments renowned for its meticulous finishing, consistent manufacturing quality and professional-level performance. Its development brought together international artist Jeroen Berwaerts and designer Eddie Veit, incorporating ideas from the Yamaha Atelier in Hamburg. This approach has resulted in a trumpet with a strong character, designed not only for power and projection, but also for the quality of feedback under the fingers and the fine response at the attack.

The gold-lacquered one-piece rose brass bell plays a major role in the instrument's sonic identity. This material is valued for its ability to produce balanced overtones, with a warmer grain than yellow brass while retaining brilliance. The result is a broad, refined tone that can remain bright without becoming harsh.

The 123 mm bell diameter encourages a beautifully open sound, with generous projection and a sense of space in the air column. The more squared-off bow and French-style flat wire contribute to this acoustic personality, providing stability, depth and an even distribution of resonance.

The 11.65 mm ML bore offers a sought-after balance between ease of airflow, precise centering and flexibility when changing registers. The new leadpipe, with a classic taper and narrower venturi, improves response from the very first attacks and helps the player maintain fine control in pianissimi as well as in more open passages.

Playing comfort has also been thoroughly refined. The heavyweight design, reinforced braces, first valve slide ring and optimized weight distribution provide a highly appreciated sense of stability.
