A New Step in Zoom's G Series
With the G2 Four, Zoom continues the goal that made its compact multi-effects successful: providing guitarists with a maximum of usable sounds, immediately, in a format easy to integrate into a pedalboard. This generation emphasizes the quality of amp and cabinet simulations, thanks to an innovative IR approach (Multi-Layer IR) designed to better reproduce the "feel" of a real amp at different dynamic levels and playing volumes.Another highlight: the "historical" approach to presets. The 250 factory sounds are not just there to fill a list but serve as a musical and educational foundation, recreating distinctive sonic signatures and era-specific tones.
A Guitar Multi-Effects Designed for Playing, Rehearsing, and Recording
The Zoom G2 Four is aimed equally at beginner guitarists who want a big sound without hassle and experienced musicians looking for a compact multi-effects for rehearsals, covers, home studio, or small gigs. The sounds cover a wide spectrum, from bright cleans to vintage crunches, up to more extreme distortions, with all the necessary modulation, delay, and reverb to move from blues to rock, metal, or more ambient textures. For the most faithful reproduction of amp and cabinet simulations, using a FRFR speaker (as neutral a response as possible) can be particularly relevant. In live settings, it can also serve as an all-in-one solution, while in the studio it becomes an efficient partner for quickly recording inspired takes.

Questions frequently asked
Can the Zoom G2 Four be used as a USB audio interface?
The USB-C connection allows it to be used as an audio interface for recording on a computer with effects and modeling. Compatibility with Guitar Lab also enables managing and expanding the patch and effect library.
How many effects can be used simultaneously?
Up to 7 effects can be combined in a single patch, from over 100 available effects.
Is the G2 Four’s looper suitable for home practice?
An 80-second looper allows layering loops to practice solos or develop ideas. The built-in drum machine offers 68 beats to play along with rhythmic accompaniment. Access to these functions is provided through the pedalboard interface.
Can this multi-effects unit be connected to an amp or a FRFR speaker?
The LINE or AMP output optimization selection adapts the output to the setup used. An FRFR speaker is recommended to faithfully reproduce amp and cabinet simulations.
What power supply is required for this Zoom pedalboard?
The required power supply is 9 V DC with a negative center, consuming 500 mA.
