Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
This 8-inch Splash Trash belongs to Agean's Effects series, designed to enrich a set with short, sharp, and immediately recognizable percussive colors. It effectively complements more "traditional" crashes and rides by providing a more biting and textured sonic signature.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
Perfect for intermediate to advanced drummers seeking an expressive effect cymbal, it fits well in rock, metal, fusion, funk, and contemporary music where accents need to remain short and clear. Its 8-inch size makes it easy to place, even on a compact kit.
Features and Innovations
The artisanal work (traditional manufacturing and hand hammering) aims for an immediate response and a more personal character from one cymbal to another. The B20 bronze alloy promotes effective projection while maintaining a rich grain useful for "trash" effects.
Sound
Made of B20, this splash trash delivers a quick attack, a sharp brightness, and a short decay, with intentionally rough harmonics that provide the sought-after "dirty" character. Ideal for stacking or playing alone, it adds a cutting color without overpowering the mix.
