Questions frequently asked
Are the Ahead 5A drumsticks suitable for rock and long rehearsals?
This 5A model is suitable for rock, pop, funk, metal, variety music, and studio work. The aluminum alloy and polyurethane sleeve contribute to shock absorption. The specified flexibility helps reduce fatigue during intensive sessions.
What are the dimensions and weight of these 5A drumsticks?
Each stick measures 40.64 cm in length, with a diameter of 1.37 cm and a weight of 53 g.
What sound do nylon tips produce on cymbals?
The 5AS oval nylon tip delivers a bright and defined attack on cymbals. This setup promotes clear articulation in ghost notes and fast patterns.
Can the sleeves and tips of the Ahead 5A be replaced?
It is possible to fit MT, MTW, or WMT sleeves, as well as 5AS, 5AT, 5AB, and 5ATB tips. Felt heads with A-thread, references MHLA, MHMA, and MHHA, are also compatible. The tip must be removed before changing the sleeve; it is screwed on and may be glued.
Why choose an Ahead aluminum drumstick over an irregular pair?
Manufactured from high-precision alloy, these sticks have variations under 1% in weight and balance between the pair. Polyurethane sleeves protect the aluminum body and the impact points on cymbals or drums.
