Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The TT reference is part of the Ahead drumsticks designed around a simple principle: to offer the response and balance of a drumstick while utilizing an aluminum tube and a vibration control system to gain comfort and consistency. This model is specifically developed for Tico Torres' playing style, with a performance-oriented philosophy: clear attack, controlled power, and endurance, including during long and intense sets.
Who This Drumstick/Instrument Is For
The Ahead TT drumstick is aimed at intermediate to advanced drummers who play loudly, seek fatigue reduction, and want a stable pair from one gig to another. It is particularly relevant for styles where consistency and impact matter: rock, hard rock, pop rock, metal, as well as all studio or stage situations where minimizing breakage and maintaining a consistent feel are desired. If you appreciate dynamic rebound and solid striking without overloading your joints, this model is in its comfort zone.
