The Concert Format: A Modern Standard Between Soprano and Tenor
The concert format has established itself as one of the most versatile: more spacious than a soprano, while remaining compact and easy to carry. It is particularly suitable for those who want to gain left-hand comfort, tuning stability, and projection without moving to a larger instrument.
For Which Musician and Styles?
This ukulele is aimed both at beginners looking for a reliable and pleasant instrument, and intermediate players seeking an expressive concert ukulele to work on fingerstyle, rhythms, and arpeggios. Its balance makes it relevant for pop, folk, vocal accompaniment, and more percussive playing where note definition is important.
Sound
The zébrano (top, back, and sides) is appreciated for its generally bright and articulated signature, with good clarity on chords and an interesting "snappy" quality in rhythm playing. The bone nuts often contribute to a cleaner attack and better sustain, useful both in strumming and picking. The okoumé neck offers a feeling of lightness and good stability, while the walnut fingerboard and bridge provide a balanced response, pleasant for nuanced fingerstyle playing.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To complement this model, you can opt for a clip-on chromatic tuner (ideal for the concert format), a set of concert ukulele strings (for example Aquila, to maintain the original feel), and a universal ukulele stand for storage at home or in the studio. The included gig bag is perfect for everyday transport.
