Designed in the spirit of major violin pedagogies, this method in English brings together exercises and studies centered around a carefully selected classical repertoire. The dual objective is to consolidate technical fundamentals (intonation, rhythmic placement, tone quality, left hand and bow coordination) while giving musical meaning to the work through well-known pieces often encountered in learning curricula.
You will find, in particular, "Lullaby" tonalizations attributed to F. Schubert and J. Brahms, especially useful for working on sound quality, bow hold, and intonation stability. The method also includes several concerto movements by F. Seitz (Concerto No. 2 in G major, Op. 13, as well as Concerto No. 5 in D major, Op. 22): highly formative pieces for developing phrasing, position shifts, and ease in an accessible Romantic style.
To enrich the stylistic palette, there is also Vivaldi (Concerto in A minor, Op. 3, No. 6, arranged by T. Nachez), an excellent piece for working on articulation clarity and rhythmic energy.
