An Alhambra Dreadnought Designed for Demanding Guitarists

With the D-SR E9, Alhambra offers a top-tier dreadnought focusing on the essentials: carefully selected solid woods, performance-oriented luthiery, and an immediate feeling of comfort once the instrument is in hand. Within the range, this model positions itself as a premium acoustic intended for those seeking a "full" and consistent sound across the entire fretboard, equally convincing in acoustic play and amplification.

Who Is This Alhambra D-SR E9 For?

This electro-acoustic guitar primarily targets advanced guitarists (or intermediates seeking a true qualitative leap) who want a stable, expressive, and reliable dreadnought. Its natural playground: powerful strumming, vocal accompaniment, folk, pop, acoustic rock, but also fingerstyle playing thanks to a balanced response and excellent note-to-note definition.

Sound

The AA+ solid Sitka spruce top delivers attack, clarity, and dynamics: it responds quickly, handles strong pick attacks, and maintains precision as intensity increases. The solid Indian rosewood back and sides enrich the spectrum with deep lows, bright highs, and generous sustain, ideal for open chords that "breathe" and arpeggios that need to remain clear.

The Dreadnought format favors powerful projection and a solid low-mid foundation, particularly appreciated in accompaniment. On stage, the Fishman E9 Flex M Blend combines a Matrix-type under-saddle pickup and an internal condenser microphone: the blend can be adjusted to achieve an amplified sound that is precise, present, and more organic, while keeping discreet and ergonomic controls (volume, tone, mix, chromatic tuner).

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original feel, prioritize acoustic string sets in 12-53 gauge (0.012"-0.053" / 0.30-1.35 mm), like the factory-installed gauge, to maintain the balance between comfort, tuning stability, and power. The included gig bag already ensures secure daily transport.
