Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Often copied, the Superkick series is a best-seller for the brand and a reference among drummers, drum techs, and sound engineers who quickly seek a controlled, musical low end ready for both stage and studio.
Who This Head Is For
The Super Kick II suits drummers from beginner to expert levels who want a controlled and punchy bass drum, ideal for rock, pop, funk, metal, worship, and recording contexts where low-end precision is essential.
Features and Innovations
Thanks to the movable felt ring and multi-ply vacuum molding, the head reduces unwanted resonances while maintaining a natural feel under the stick or beater, with a dense low end and well-defined punch.
Sound Characteristics
The 2-ply construction promotes a solid low end, a more present attack, and shortened sustain: the sound is "mix-ready," with fewer overtones and greater focus. The texture coated versions (white or black) add a touch of warmth and roundness.
