The high-end stage keyboard from the Arturia universe
The Arturia AstroLab 88 brings the brand's software experience to the heart of an elegant, standalone stage instrument. It combines sounds from Analog Lab, V Collection and Pigments in a robust keyboard designed to eliminate reliance on a computer during rehearsals and concerts.
This 88-key version is especially suited to musicians who want to retain an authentic piano touch while accessing a vast library of synths, pianos, cinematic textures and sampled sounds. Its aluminium chassis and bakelite side panels underscore its premium positioning, built to meet the demands of touring.
An 88-key synthesizer for pianists, keyboardists and performers
The AstroLab 88 is ideal for pianists looking for a weighted, expressive action, as well as keyboardists who want to switch instantly from an acoustic piano to an immersive pad, from a synth bass to an analogue lead. Its capabilities naturally cover pop, neo-soul, funk, electro, synthwave, ambient and film scoring.
On stage, the Split and Layer functions let you distribute multiple sounds across the keyboard or layer them to enrich a performance. The 10 Preset buttons provide immediate access to the essential sounds in a set, while the Chord, Scale, Arpeggiator and Looper modes make both improvisation and the creation of inspiring sequences easier.
AstroLab 2.0: more direct sound control, without a computer
The AstroLab 2.0 update considerably expands sound editing from the front panel. The new Sound Edit mode provides access to essential parameters for each instrument: envelope, filter, glide and other settings are organised across several pages, each of which can be controlled using the four Macro knobs.
This approach makes it easy both to quickly adjust a sound before going on stage and to take preset customisation further. Musicians retain immediate control over the character, attack, movement and response of their sounds without interrupting their creative flow.
New sampled instruments for the stage
AstroLab 2.0 introduces a collection of sampled instruments designed to integrate effectively into a live performance context. It includes the Pure Grand Clean acoustic piano, sampled across eight velocity levels, as well as funk and orchestral brass, strings suited to pop productions, and acoustic or electric basses.
These new sounds complement an already extensive palette covering vintage keyboards, modern synthesizers, pianos, organs, evolving pads and the most experimental textures.
Designed for performance
At the centre of the interface, the navigation wheel combined with the display makes it easy to browse and organise sounds. The redesigned preset list helps you quickly find the most relevant sounds, while the transposition display provided by the Octave LEDs improves readability on stage.
The update also brings polyphony optimisations for the sampler, improved integration with Analog Lab and a refined aftertouch response. Together, these enhancements deliver a smoother, more stable and more comfortable experience when every sound change matters.
