Questions frequently asked
Is the Ashdown SBM 1x12 200 W combo suitable for rehearsals and small gigs?
Its 200 W and 12-inch Sica speaker are designed for rehearsals, clubs, and small to medium stage venues. The 16 kg combo format makes it easy to transport.
What connectivity is available on this bass combo?
The instrument input is a 6.35 mm jack, with an effects loop to integrate pedals after the preamp. A balanced DI output allows connection to a mixing console, while a 6.35 mm jack headphone output enables silent practice.
Can an external cabinet be connected to the SBM 1x12?
No external speaker output is provided on this model. The Speakon output is listed in the specifications, while the internal 12-inch Sica speaker operates at 8 ohms.
What kind of sound does the built-in overdrive provide?
The progressive overdrive delivers a slight warmth or a more pronounced crunch depending on the settings and attack. The transistor preamp maintains a fast attack and firm lows.
Is the equalization precise enough for slap?
A 5-band EQ acts on lows, low-mids, mids, high-mids, and highs. This range allows adjustment of the definition needed for slap techniques as well as pick playing.
