Questions frequently asked
Does the SCS70 Pro reach low enough frequencies for mixing and post-production?
The 12-inch SS75-314SC woofer reaches 22 Hz at -6 dB in half-space, with the low-pass filter set to 80 Hz. This extension allows control of very low frequencies in a monitoring setup.
How to set up the SCS70 Pro with ATC main speakers?
Low-pass cutoff frequencies can be selected at 50, 65, 80, or 320 Hz via a 4th order Linkwitz-Riley filter. A phase adjustment from 0 to 180° and a polarity inverter assist in aligning with the monitors. The level is adjustable from 0 to -11 dB in 1 dB steps, with gain positions at 0, +6, or +10 dB.
What sound level does this ATC subwoofer deliver?
With 300 W MOSFET Class A-B amplification, this model achieves 110 dB continuous and 116 dB peak at 1 m, according to IEC half-space measurements.
What connectivity is available on this subwoofer?
The audio connection uses balanced XLR inputs and "Link" outputs for daisy-chaining. A 6.35 mm jack accepts a latching footswitch, sold separately, to mute sound remotely.
Is the SCS70 Pro suitable for a Dolby Atmos setup?
Integration in stereo, multichannel surround, or Dolby Atmos configurations is supported thanks to filtering, phase, and level adjustments. Its net weight is 44 kg, so a stable location should be planned.
