A New Milestone in the KH Subwoofer Line
Big brother to the KH 750 DSP, the KH 805 II modernizes the KH 805 concept with increased power reserve and exemplary bass performance. Its long-excursion ELFF transducer, loaded in an optimized bass-reflex enclosure, pushes the response well below the audible threshold while preserving linearity. The result: a reference subwoofer to complement medium-sized monitors or drive immersive setups.
Intended Uses and Studios
The KH 805 II is aimed at demanding music, broadcast, and post-production studios. It integrates equally well into a nearfield stereo system as into a mixing or mastering control room and naturally fits into 5.1/7.1 multichannel setups where phase accuracy and LFE channel management are crucial.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Neumann KH 805 II suitable for a 5.1 or 7.1 studio setup?
The bass management supports 7.1 / 7+Sum configurations and offers several LFE modes: 80+re-routing, 80, 120, and wide. An LFE gain of 0 or +10 dB is available for integration into multichannel workflows.
What is the frequency response of this 10-inch subwoofer?
The free-field response ranges from 18 Hz to 310 Hz at ±3 dB. With the bandpass filter, it covers 19 Hz to 310 Hz at ±2 dB.
Can it be calibrated with the Neumann MA 1?
The built-in DSP enables alignment via the MA 1 tool, sold separately. The correction affects the system's frequency response and phase. The analog monitors KH 120 A, KH 310, and KH 420 can thus benefit from full stereo calibration.
What audio connections are available?
Two electronically balanced XLR inputs/outputs are provided, with an input impedance of 13 kΩ. A digital BNC input accepts AES3 and S/P-DIF signals up to 192 kHz / 24 bit, and an RJ45 port is also present.
What is the maximum sound pressure level delivered by this subwoofer?
The maximum level reaches 112 dB SPL at 1 m in half-space with pink noise, and 110.7 dB SPL at 3% THD.
