A 70s Classic Revisited in a Limited Edition
In the early 1970s, the ARP 2600 marked a turning point: more compact than a bulky modular, yet open enough to invent new textures. Adopted by many artists, it became a cornerstone of electronic sound and studios. The Behringer 2600 BLUE MARVIN continues this legacy by making this spirit accessible, with a bold "Blue Marvin" aesthetic and analog design inspired by the authentic circuits of the original models.
For Whom and What Uses?
The 2600 BLUE MARVIN is aimed at experienced musicians and analog synthesis enthusiasts who want to learn (or rediscover) semi-modular reflexes: understanding signal flow, exploring modulation, and building sounds by hand. It excels in techno, electro, ambient, synthwave, pop, and sound design (FX, drones, impacts, textures). In the studio, it becomes a machine for basses, leads, and evolving pads; live, its sliders and patchbay invite organic and unpredictable performances.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Behringer 2600 Blue Marvin polyphonic?
Polyphony is limited to one voice: this synthesizer is monophonic.
Can the 2600 Blue Marvin be played without patch cables?
A standardized signal path allows immediate use without patching. The 3.5 mm mini-jack sockets then enable rerouting of synthesis sections. The semi-modular architecture thus provides access to the VCOs, envelopes, Sample and Hold, and voltage processor.
What sounds can this 3 VCO synth produce?
Three VCOs, a resonant low-pass filter with two modes, and a ring modulator allow building basses, leads, pads, and effects. A mixable spring reverb adds spatial coloration to the signal.
What MIDI connectivity is available on the 2600 Blue Marvin?
Control from a modern setup is done via MIDI In, MIDI Thru, and USB connections. Inputs for Interval Latch and portamento footswitch are also provided.
Can the 2600 Blue Marvin process an external signal?
A preamp and envelope follower allow integrating an external signal into the synthesis. The output uses a stereo VCA with adjustable panning.
