The Return of a Dreadbox Classic, in Eurorack Format
With the Erebus, Dreadbox brings back one of its most distinctive analog synthesizers. This version retains the DNA of the Erebus V1 and keeps what made it famous: a harmonically rich sound, a filter with strong character, and a semi-modular approach that invites both playing and experimenting. Compact and USB-powered, it is aimed at musicians who want a true analog personality without sacrificing the flexibility of a Eurorack format.Who Is the Erebus For, and Which Styles Does It Excel In?
The Dreadbox Erebus is designed for experienced musicians as well as curious users already comfortable with the basics of subtractive synthesis. It particularly shines in techno, electro, ambient, synthwave, and sound design, thanks to its fast modulations, punchy envelopes, and Lo-Fi delay that instantly thickens the signal. In the studio, it delivers organic basses, biting leads, and evolving pads; live, its patch section and direct controls encourage spontaneous variations.Technical specifications

The Dreadbox Erebus Reissue is a good addition to my already full collection of eurorack synth modules. It is not inspired by a specific vintage synth like the Deckard's Voice, Intellijel Atlantis or the Moog Mavis and the extent of its use is very broad.
The interface is user-friendly and the 12db filter allows you to create a beautiful palette of sounds with a very musical resonance. It can be controlled from other modules using cv/gates or via midi from a sequencer or a DAW.Automatically translated

Questions frequently asked
Is the Dreadbox Erebus Reissue compatible with a Eurorack system?
Its Eurorack format of 42 HP and 18 patch points allow interconnection with other modules. CV inputs cover Osc1, Osc2, Cutoff, LFO Rate, and VCA, while envelope, LFO, and Gate outputs are available.
What polyphony and oscillators does this synth offer?
The maximum polyphony is 2 voices with a paraphonic architecture. Two analog oscillators, each with two waveform shapes, feature Hard Sync and separate glide controls.
Can it be controlled via MIDI and CV/Gate?
The connectivity includes a MIDI input, as well as CV In, Gate In, and Trig In inputs. A jack output, CV outputs, and a Gate output complete integration in a hardware setup.
What type of filter and effect does the Erebus Reissue have?
The audio path includes a 2-pole pre-amped low-pass filter and a Lo-Fi delay. An ADSR envelope, an AR amplifier envelope, and a wide-range LFO provide modulation sources.
Is the Erebus Reissue suitable for techno and sound design?
This semi-modular analog architecture is suitable for basses, leads, and pads in techno, electro, ambient, synthwave, or sound design contexts.
