Essential Information About This Method

  • Progressive course in 3 volumes: a structured approach that guides the student from beginner to elementary level.

  • Comprehensive foundation work: rhythm, singing, and reading exercises for volumes 1 and 2 (beginner and preparatory levels).

  • Focused targeting from vol. 3A onward: practical application centered on rhythm and note reading starting at the elementary level.

  • Ideal as a complement to musical training: a progression designed to strengthen reading skills and rhythmic accuracy throughout the sessions.

Summary of This Method

This three-volume collection was designed to establish a solid foundation in musical training, with a clear progression according to levels. Volumes 1 and 2, intended for beginner and preparatory levels, offer varied and consistent work around essential skills: rhythmic exercises to develop pulse and timing, singing activities to strengthen ear training and intonation, as well as reading exercises to gain fluency and autonomy.

Starting from the elementary level (vol. 3A), the method refocuses on the essentials to go further: mastery of rhythm and note reading. This stage consolidates acquired skills, improves reading fluency, and develops useful reflexes both in instrumental lessons and musical training. The whole integrates easily into weekly practice, whether in class or at home, thanks to exercises designed for steady progression.

To complement this course, the collection can be combined with the volumes of Leçons progressives de lecture de notes et de solfège rythmique by Marie-Jeanne BOURDEAUX, to further deepen reading and rhythmic precision according to the student's needs.
