Summary of This Method

Designed to support music training across multiple levels, this method offers a progressive exploration of rhythm that is both rigorous and stimulating. The goal is to consolidate the fundamentals (pulse, measures, note values, transitions) while developing solid musical reflexes: reading, hearing, speaking, and performing rhythm with precision.

The richness of the content is based on varied approaches that renew learning: vocal games to integrate rhythmic cells through voice and body, authors' texts to work on diction and regularity, polyphonic excerpts to refine listening and ensemble playing, as well as numerous exercises to be performed on small percussion instruments. This diversity allows multiple skills to be engaged simultaneously and avoids an exclusively "solfège" approach.

Suitable for use in class as well as for personal practice, this method helps the student gain autonomy, stabilize tempo, and improve coordination (speaking/hitting/counting). It naturally fits into a music training pathway to strengthen rhythmic reading, collective attention, and execution precision. Collective work by Elyane Plochel-Seguy, Simone Chemin-Magnard, Dominique Boudot, Pascale Maillard, Bernard Forest, Michele Dargaud, Michele-Florence Carre, Monique Marfaing, Edith Brot, and Veronique Boige.
