A classic in field monitoring, here offered in a 7-inch "3G" format
The Video Assist has established itself as a versatile tool for shoots and broadcast environments by combining a large monitor and an external recorder in a portable format. This Video Assist 7 3G version follows the approach of the 5-inch model while providing a significantly larger screen, more comfortable ergonomics, and a configuration designed for field use, notably with two SD card slots to secure long takes and two mini XLR inputs for more direct audio capture.
A monitor-recorder designed for shooting, broadcast testing, and live production
On a camera rig, the Video Assist 7 3G serves as a large-format viewfinder and improves detail readability (focus, exposure, framing) when the original screen is too small or difficult to view. It is also used as a portable scope to quickly verify video level consistency and proper operation of an SDI or HDMI chain during broadcast tests.
In live production, it can transform into a master recorder with a large screen or a clip player, handy for inserting content (commercials, jingles, promotional videos) into a program feed. It can also be deployed as a standalone recorder so each camera benefits from a monitor and local recording.
