This combo combines a traditional approach (two channels, 3-band EQ, EL34 tubes) with a very modern orientation. The power reduction allows switching from 50W to 2W, and the SAG mode adds a softer, compressed feel, ideal for achieving a "spongy" touch at more reasonable volume. The built-in loadbox enables use of the recording outputs by capturing the post-power amp signal to preserve the character of the output stage.

The Celestion G12Z-70 "Zephyr" add a sense of density and punch while maintaining a balanced response: enough to get a wide clean and a drive that cuts well in the mix without excessive harshness if the EQ is carefully set.
