What BLEASS Megalit Is For
BLEASS Megalit is a wavetable synthesizer virtual instrument designed to create rich, animated, and expressive sounds within a DAW. It targets both electronic music producers (house, techno, EDM, drum and bass) and composers seeking evolving textures, cinematic pads, massive basses, or detailed sound effects.
Thanks to its modulation- and "movement"-oriented approach, Megalit is particularly effective at transforming a simple sound into a living timbre, with controlled variations over time. It is also well suited for MIDI performances, as each patch can be calibrated to respond consistently to your controllers (master keyboard, modulation wheel, aftertouch, etc.).
Main Features
135 advanced wavetables for a modern sonic identity
The core of Megalit is based on a collection of 135 wavetables designed to offer contemporary timbres, ranging from complex harmonics to more aggressive textures. The shaping and folding options go beyond simple wavetable playback, allowing for fine or radical variations, ideal for signature sounds and expressive transitions.
Multi-oscillator layering and dedicated noise
To achieve dense and "larger than life" sounds, Megalit offers a layering-oriented architecture: you can stack multiple sources while maintaining a clear reading of the result. Each oscillator features a unison mode per oscillator to instantly thicken leads and basses, and a dedicated noise source complements the setup to add attack, breath, grain, or a more percussive character.
The noise section includes high-pass and low-pass filters to precisely place this noise in the spectrum, useful for reinforcing a transient without overwhelming the lows, or conversely filling a midrange area to better "sit" in the mix.
Filtering, distortion, and resolution reduction to sculpt the timbre
Megalit provides essential tools to shape your sound: resonant high-pass and low-pass filters, a waveshaper to enrich harmonics and densify the signal, as well as a bit-crusher to introduce character, controlled lo-fi, or digital aggressiveness. This combination facilitates the creation of sharp basses, biting leads, textured pads, or more experimental glitch effects.
4 flexible and musically precise LFOs
The four LFOs are designed for detailed modulations: they offer timing curves to draw more organic movements, as well as output smoothing to keep modulations clean when needed. The result: you can switch from subtle vibrato to complex rhythmic animations, perfectly synced to the project tempo.
Advanced Motion Sequencer for evolving modulations
Going beyond classic automation, the motion sequencer allows you to create complex and evolving modulation patterns. It becomes easy to generate variations of filter, timbre, or intensity over measures while maintaining a coherent rhythmic signature. This is a particularly useful tool for moving textures, sequenced synth patterns, or dynamic transitions in an arrangement.
Performance curves per patch: controlled and consistent expression
Megalit integrates performance curves per preset to adapt the sound response to your MIDI controllers. This ensures homogeneous expressivity from patch to patch, and you can customize the playing feel according to your style (softer, more aggressive, more linear response, etc.).
Built-in multiband compressor: more punch, fewer compromises
The built-in multiband compressor helps control dynamics and enhance impact without crushing the character of the sound. It is designed to remain efficient while maintaining optimized CPU management, allowing the use of Megalit in busy sessions with multiple instances and full arrangements.

Questions frequently asked
Is BLEASS Megalit compatible with macOS and which plug-in formats are available?
The macOS version requires macOS 10.9 or later, 64-bit, with Intel or Apple Silicon processor. VST3, AU, and AAX formats are supported; 8 GB of RAM and 1 GB of disk space are recommended.
How many wavetables and oscillators are offered?
The architecture includes 135 wavetables with shaping and folding functions. Multi-oscillator layering and oscillator unison allow for thickening the sounds.
Can complex rhythmic modulations be created?
Four LFOs feature timing curves and output smoothing. An advanced motion sequencer enables programming evolving modulation patterns. These tools can affect timbre, filter, or sound intensity.
Does the synthesizer respond to MIDI controllers?
Performance curves per patch allow adapting the response to MIDI controllers.
Which processing features are integrated to shape basses and leads?
A resonant high-pass filter, a low-pass filter, a waveshaper, and a bit-crusher are integrated. A dedicated noise generator, filterable via high-pass and low-pass, completes these processors.
