A Milestone in MIDI Expression from BOSS
With the EV-1-WL, BOSS delivers the first MIDI expression pedal designed for reliable and simple wireless control. It stands as the modern solution for real-time parameter control needs, from guitar synths to racks and workstations, while remaining compact on a pedalboard.
For Guitarists, Keyboardists, and Mobile Creators
Whether you play blues, rock, metal, or ambient, the EV-1-WL integrates into a pedalboard, keyboard setup, or hybrid DAW rig. Live, it controls volume, wah, filters, effect morphing, or patch changes. In the studio, it offers precise CC control of virtual instruments and software, from sound design to take automation.
Triple Connectivity and Sharp Control
Bluetooth for freedom of movement, USB class compliant for Mac/PC Plug & Play, and TRS MIDI for modern pedals and processors (or 5-pin DIN via BMIDI-5-35 cable). The built-in switch, two external footswitch inputs, and dual-sided LED indicators simplify even the densest stage setups.
From the EV-1-WL Editor app, assign your CCs, choose the response curve ("Normal," "Slow1," "Slow2," "Fast"), set the switch mode ("Latch"/"Momentary"), and define distinct setups for each connection type, usable in parallel.
The Sound
Transparent by nature, the EV-1-WL preserves the character of your instruments and effects. Its smooth travel and adjustable curves provide a progressive and musical response, ideal for expressive wah sweeps, natural volume crescendos, or crisp filter openings, with precise foot feel and low latency.

Questions frequently asked
Does the Boss EV-1-WL work with BOSS and Roland wireless systems?
The Bluetooth connection enables wireless control of the EURUS GS-1, Waza-Air, Katana-Air, BOSS effects from the 200 series, and RC-5/RC-500 Loop Stations. Compatibility is also specified with the Roland WM-1 and WM-1D adapters.
Can this expression pedal be connected via USB and TRS MIDI?

Are external footswitches supported?
Two dedicated inputs accept external footswitches, with a choice between Latch and Momentary modes.
Can the Boss EV-1-WL control a wah, volume, or filter?
