A Premium Expression Pedal Designed for the Helix, HX, and POD Go Ecosystem
The EX2 was designed as a natural extension of the Line 6 family of processors and pedals. The idea is simple: to have on stage a "foot" control as intuitive as a true volume pedal, while benefiting from the modern possibilities of multi-effects (assignable wah, parameter morphing, pitch, modulation depth, delay or reverb mix, etc.). Its size and finish pair especially well with the Helix Stadium universe, while fitting perfectly on any pedalboard focused on control and automation. For Whom, Which Styles, and In What Situations?
The Line 6 EX2 is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want to take back control over their effects in real time, without being limited to fixed settings. In rock and blues, it becomes an expressive tool to transition from crunch to a denser lead by gradually opening a drive or boost parameter. In metal and prog, it facilitates sharp transitions (toe switch) and controlled build-ups (delay mix, modulation depth, filter, pitch). In ambient and post-rock, it is a formidable creative lever to evolve a soundscape: opening a filter, increasing reverb, raising shimmer, or continuously transforming a texture.Live, the EX2 helps you stay focused on playing: you modulate an effect without letting go of the neck, and you can trigger a function with the toe switch without aiming for a separate footswitch. In the studio, it becomes a "performance" controller to record organic automations, more musical than simple mouse editing.
Controls, Connectivity, and Flexibility: Everything for a Clean Setup
The EX2 combines an expression pedal and an assignable toe switch. Depending on your gear, you can wire it simply or more modularly thanks to its dedicated outputs: one output for the pedal and toe switch part, and a separate output for the toe switch. Result: you choose between a connection with a single TRS cable (convenient and fast), or a setup with two TS 6.35mm Jack cables (useful when your setup requires separating expression and switching). The feel underfoot matters as much as the connectivity: the EX2 features an adjustable tension bolt to adapt the treadle resistance to your style. Softer for quick swells like volume pedals, or firmer for precise adjustments (pitch, filter, mix): you customize the response to gain precision and comfort, especially during long sessions or concerts with rapid song changes.
Sound Character
An expression pedal does not color the sound per se, but it directly influences the musicality of your transitions. The EX2 stands out with a smooth and predictable travel: your volume swells remain gradual, your wahs keep a controllable sweep, and your parameter morphings become truly "playable." The toe switch also allows you to structure your sound in one gesture (for example: activate a wah, toggle a pitch, or switch from a mild to a more extreme expression depending on snapshots/presets), making your rig more lively and responsive.Technical specifications

Questions frequently asked
Is the Line 6 EX-2 compatible with the HX Stomp and POD Go?
Plug-and-play compatibility is announced with the Helix Stadium, HX Stomp, HX Stomp XL, HX One, POD Go, and POD Go Express.
What cables are needed to connect the EX-2?
Two wiring methods are available: a single TRS cable for both the pedal and the toe switch, or two 6.35 mm TS cables to separate these functions. Connection cables are not included.
Is a power supply required?
No power supply is needed for this black expression pedal.
Is the pedal resistance adjustable?
An adjustable tension bolt allows modification of the resistance under the foot. A softer travel may suit volume swells, while a firmer setting facilitates precise control of pitch, filter, or effect mix.
Can the EX-2 toe switch be used independently?
The assignable toe switch has a dedicated 'Toe Switch' output in addition to the 'Pedal/Toe SW' output. This connection allows triggering a separate function depending on the Line 6 processor configuration.
