With the RV-6, BOSS pushes compact reverb into a more modern approach: realistic ambiances, as well as current and atmospheric textures, while maintaining the brand's typical "plug and play" ergonomics. It naturally integrates into the pedalboard as the main reverb, capable of delivering both the "amp" color (Spring) and wide, detailed studio-type spaces (Hall, Plate).

The BOSS RV-6 is aimed equally at beginner guitarists wanting an easy-to-set reverb and stage or studio musicians seeking a reliable, versatile, and musical pedal. In blues, rock, and pop, it adds depth and width without masking attack. In post-rock, ambient, or worship, the Shimmer, Dynamic, and Delay+Reverb modes allow building inspiring soundscapes, ideal in stereo and live setups.
Controls, modes, and connectivity: simple on the surface, rich inside
The RV-6 is controlled via four knobs: E.Level (effect level), Tone (color), Time (duration), and Mode (selection). Beneath these intentionally clear settings, BOSS adjusts several internal parameters to maintain a coherent and balanced output, even when turning the knobs "by instinct." On the connectivity side, it supports mono, mono to stereo, and stereo to stereo. A very useful feature: by plugging in only to input B, you get a 100% wet signal, handy for parallel setups. An EXP input allows controlling the reverb level with an expression pedal (optional), perfect for live ambiance swells.
Sound Character
The RV-6's character combines a dense and wide reverb with excellent playing clarity. Room and Hall provide a natural space, Plate offers a more "studio" brightness, Spring brings back a vintage amp reverb vibe, while Modulate adds subtle movement.
