Essential information about the Fender Hammertone Reverb pedal

  • 3 classic reverbs at the flick of a switch: Hall, Room, and Plate, to go from subtle ambiance to deeper soundscapes.

  • Simple and musical controls (intuitive knobs + Type and Tone switches) to quickly find the right place in the mix.

  • True bypass and top-mounted jacks: ideal for a clean, compact, and reliable pedalboard.

  • Robust aluminum construction, designed for both studio and stage use.

A modern Fender reverb, in the spirit of the great classics

At Fender, reverb has been part of the sonic DNA for decades. The Hammertone Reverb continues this tradition but with a decidedly modern approach: Fender-designed reverb algorithms and three essential ambiances (Hall, Room, Plate) to cover the main needs for electric guitar without complicating your signal chain.

Who is the Hammertone Reverb for?

This guitar reverb pedal is perfect if you're looking for an effective solution to thicken a clean tone, add breadth to a crunch sound, or create a halo around a lead. Its ergonomics make it equally relevant for a beginner (quick settings, immediate results) as for an experienced guitarist who wants a reliable reverb for live, home studio, or a minimalist pedalboard. It pairs especially well with rock, pop, blues, indie, post-rock, and ambient textures.

Settings, modes, and design: simple, practical, effective

The Hammertone Reverb offers straightforward navigation: choose your reverb type via the selector (Hall, Room, Plate), then adjust your space with dedicated controls (notably Time, Level, and Damping following the series logic). The Tone switch softens high frequencies so the reverb integrates more naturally, while the Damp helps control brightness and tail length. The top-mounted jacks optimize space, and the true bypass ensures an unaltered signal when the effect is off.

The sound

The signature of this Fender reverb is musical and easy to place: the Room provides a realistic sense of air, the Plate adds controlled brightness that highlights arpeggios and leads, and the Hall opens up the space for wide ambiances. The pedal remains responsive to playing dynamics, while offering enough depth to support chord parts or more expressive melodies. Among notable users, it is used by Luke Holding (Florentenes), proof of its pedalboard and stage orientation.
