Keyboard Design

The Casio Celviano AP-300 is equipped with an 88-key graded hammer action keyboard, replicating the feel of an acoustic piano where the bass keys are naturally firmer than the treble. To personalize your playing, you have 5 touch sensitivity levels (plus off), as well as advanced settings: hammer response (10 levels plus off) to adjust responsiveness, key release response (3 levels) to control how the sound fades, and a key release simulator that recreates the slight mechanical noise of an acoustic keyboard. The ivory and ebony textured keys improve grip, especially during long sessions.

Sound Quality

The sound generation is based on the AiR multidimensional Morphing audio source, designed for nuanced musical response and beautiful dynamics. With a maximum polyphony of 192 notes, the AP-300 avoids note dropouts during pedal-heavy passages. The panel of 19 tones covers several grand pianos, upright pianos, as well as useful timbres (organs, strings) to vary styles. To enhance realism, the piano offers resonance and behavior parameters: string resonance (4 levels plus off), sustain pedal resonance (4 levels plus off), key action noise (4 levels plus off), and lid opening simulator (4 levels) to adjust the tonal color like on a grand piano. For sound projection, the built-in amplification of 2 x 20 W powers two 12 cm speakers for a full sound, and the optimized headphone mode ensures a more natural listening experience when playing with headphones.
