A Celviano Designed for the Home, Balancing Design and Piano Performance
The Casio Celviano AP-S200 follows the spirit of the Celviano series: offering a serious piano experience focused on touch and expressiveness, in an instrument easy to integrate into daily life. Its "slim" approach prioritizes space-saving without sacrificing playing feel, making it a relevant choice for regular practice at home, solo or with family.
Keyboard Design
With its 88-key graded hammer action, the AP-S200 reproduces heavier resistance in the bass and lighter in the treble, just like an acoustic piano. The response is customizable with 5 sensitivity levels, and playing comfort is enhanced by the ivory/ebony finish keys. To refine the feel, it includes release control, hammer response (4 levels + off), and key release response (4 levels) to better manage sound attack and decay.
Sound Quality
The AiR (Acoustic and Intelligent Resonator) sound generation aims for nuanced and deep reproduction, inspired by grand pianos. The 192-note polyphony secures dense passages and pedal use, while the 19 tones (grand pianos, uprights, strings, and others) allow for color variation. Realism is enhanced by string resonance (4 levels + off), sustain pedal resonance (4 levels + off), and key action noise (4 levels + off). For sound projection, the 20 W + 20 W amplification and 2 x 12 cm speakers deliver a full sound suitable for home use.
