The RED48 is a full summing mixer in a 2U rack format.
The Control Room section features three stereo inputs and allows you to switch between two pairs of speakers. Their listening level is controlled by a stepped passive knob.
The communication section includes a Talkback microphone (included) with level control as well as an independent Slate output.
The Mix bus can handle up to 48 balanced analog inputs and provides a stereo summing output on XLR, which you can then feed back into your DAW software to record the mix.
You can also insert an analog device such as a compressor into the Mix bus. The remote Penny & Giles master fader allows you to perform smooth fades (fade in/out). The remote control also features three switches: Slate, Talkback, and Dim (automatic listening level attenuation).
