A New Approach from Cort: the SPACE Series and the “Value-for-Money” DNA
For over 60 years, Cort has established itself as a benchmark for guitarists looking for a reliable, well-designed and accessible instrument. With the SPACE G6MS, the brand takes the concept even further: a “Space” headless shape, ergonomics geared towards modern playing and craftsmanship designed to meet today’s demands (precision, stability and versatility). This guitar clearly embraces a “performance” approach while retaining the Cort spirit: complete and coherent equipment, without anything superfluous.
Who is it for, and which styles?
The Cort SPACE G6MS is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists looking for a modern, comfortable and efficient electric guitar for both the studio and the stage. The multiscale design and fan frets make it particularly well suited to styles requiring a crisp attack and solid low-end definition: modern rock, metal, progressive, djent, as well as any repertoire requiring precise sounds and quick changes via the 5-way selector.
The Sound
The okoumé body delivers a balanced response, with prominent mids and a punchy attack, ideal for tight rhythm parts and leads that cut through the mix. The 5-piece neck made of roasted maple and walnut prioritizes stability and consistency, while the roasted maple key enhances the feeling of precision and note definition. The two Cort Voiced Tone VTH77 humbuckers deliver a modern, articulate character with ample gain headroom ; combined with the 5-way selector and the volume / tone controls, the setup makes it possible to move from a powerful, tight register to more open textures without sacrificing control or dynamics.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original string gauge, make sure to have a replacement set of D'Addario EXL110 strings on hand (the factory-installed strings). A good-quality 6.35 mm jack instrument cable is also recommended to make full use of the pickups’ clarity and output level.
