Helicore: a D'Addario benchmark for stability and endurance
Within the D'Addario range, Helicore strings stand out due to their multi-filament steel design, engineered to provide excellent tuning stability and an extended lifespan. Made in the USA, they undergo rigorous quality controls to ensure consistency from set to set.
Intended Use and Skill Level
This set is especially suited for intermediate to advanced cellists seeking more power reserve and a clear attack. The heavy tension is ideal for contexts where projection is a priority (ensemble playing, stage), while maintaining a controlled bow feel.
Sound Characteristics
The multi-strand steel core delivers an effective balance between clarity and warmth, with an immediate response. The smaller diameter promotes quick vibration initiation, beneficial for articulation and dynamic changes, while contributing to stable intonation.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To optimize daily comfort: suitable rosin for your bow, a chromatic tuner, and a soft cloth for post-play maintenance.
